Will I get the Raw photos as well?

Simply put, no. The raws are not finished. That would be like asking the restaurant you’re eating at to just bring you all the ingredients for your dinner and you’ll throw it together. I put a lot of time and pride into the editing back-end and I promise if you trust the process you’ll be pleased.

What is the timeline like? Do I wait until I am engaged to reach out or sooner?

I remember all too well that state of not being engaged yet, but knowing you’re getting married and the date. We book pretty far in advance, so the minute you know a tentative date, shoot me an email so we can reserve it! 

Do you offer prints, and do I have to print through you?

Yes, and no! I do offer prints, my “Most Popular Package,” even has some built in. That being said you don’t have to print through me either.

Do you have an ideal client?

I prefer to think of my clients as friends, so yes I obviously have preferred friendships. My ideal friend is kind, excited and ready to break the traditions a little. I hear people’s regrets all the time. My ideal friend is planning the wedding of THEIR dreams, not their mom’s or their sister-in-laws. We don’t want you to do anything just because you feel like you SHOULD be doing it. Stop SHOULD-ing yourself and do what makes you feel alive. Wear a black dress, elope in the dessert, or have the biggest wedding in Time Square. We don’t care what your wedding looks like as long as it looks like you. 

How will you dress/act at our wedding?

That is entirely up to you two! If you say black tie, that is how we will show up. If you tell us we are hiking in, we will pack accordingly. Don’t be fooled —Brach and I definitely know how to have fun, and we will during your engagements and formals. But when it comes to the day of, we match the atmosphere and will be incredibly respectful. 

How many weddings have you shot?

Full disclosure: I have lost track. My first two years I was shooting 3-4 a week to gain the experience, and after that 1-2 a week, so, upwards of 500-ish.

Do you shoot anything besides weddings, elopements and vow renewals?

Yes we do, but that is our speciality. If you’re interested in birth stories, family photos, commercial or product work please reach out.

If Brachen is deaf, how will we communicate with him?

Brachen reads lips and can get about 98% of what you’re saying considering you’re talking normally. Brach can speak, and communicates flawlessly in ASL. 

How does the video sound work if Brachen is deaf?

Bella handles all editing, video and photo, as well as doing all necessary sound checks.

Are you licensed and insured?

You’d better believe it. 

Why don’t I recognize the songs in your videos? How does that song process work?

Licensing songs is a whole different ball game. Simply put, almost all songs you know and love are going to cost you an arm and a leg, and $4,000 on top of that to license. We subscribe to a few sites that let us pick through their songs and license through them. 98% of the songs you won’t recognize. I spend hours and hours digging through listening to all of them and know what songs… Slap? Is that what people say? Typically after we have shot I get a good feel for your personality and am able to pick a song that would best fit the two of you. If you’d like to be more involved in that process I am happy to send you options.

How would you describe your style?

Bold, vibrant, and timeless. I have had countless friends who had their photos shot in the more orangey trendy tones, and now that it is going out of style, have major regrets. I strive to achieve a timeless look and make your colors look true to the color they are. 

How do you deliver Photo + Film?

All photos will be debt full-res in an online gallery that you can share and download from for one month. After the gallery expires I am no longer in charge of hosting your photos. However as a courtesy, I keep them on my hard drive for up to six months after they are delivered. So worst case, reach out to me. After six months I don’t guarantee anything but you’re welcome to check in with me. I can’t stress enough the importance of downloading your images, and not just letting them live in an online gallery. 

Videos will be published on Vimeo, Youtube, and sent in a downloadable link that you’ll have one week to download. I will store it on my hard drive for one month after that. But It will live eternally on Youtube and Vimeo. 

What is the advantage of upgrading to an Adventure shoot, from a Local shoot?

Simply put, I promise you’ll love your photos even more. You’ll get a tiny break from all the wedding planning. And these are truly the last few moments that you’ll get to soak up that you two are getting married! Adventure shoots are a lot less stressful than local shoots because you don’t have the pressure of time, people pushing their ideas on you, and the worry of you figuring out your travel. 

Who should I bring to my shoots? Can I bring my Mom?

Ultimately the choice is yours. That being said we strongly suggest you just bring the two of you. Your Mom is so excited for you, and wants everything to be perfect but your mom had her wedding day. And now it’s yours. Don’t worry we are filming and photographing everything, and when you show her she will feel like she lived it. Think about your fiancé for a second. Are they going to feel their true best organic selves when they are sharing the most intimate moments with you…. Your mom, your mom’s best friend, and your aunt? Probably not. Brach and I are pro dress fluffers, and hair fixers. If you are really worried about it, we have a personal assistant we have trained that can come and aid. Let your mom stay home and the two of you can go enjoy this time together. 

What should we wear, and how many outfits do we get?

That all depends on what kind of shoot you’re wanting, but once you’ve booked I will send you my magazine chuck-full of information all about it.

Do I have to get my dress dirty?

No, it’s your life we are just living in it. You get to do whatever you want to do. We know plenty of clean locations, and have helped clean dozens of dresses. But I will let you in on a little secret, a little dirt is always worth the memories. 

Where do you travel to and what exactly are we covering?

We will go anywhere in the world, as long as it is safe. We reserve the right to decline a travel opportunity if we feel as if our lives may be threatened. That being said, if you’re willing to go somewhere we probably are too! You just cover our gas or plane tickets, and the cheapest AIRBNB we can find!
